Interior Forest Fundraiser trees

Tree Drawings — Interior Forest Fundraiser

The sale of tree drawings by over 100 artists is in support of the Forêt Intérieure/Interior Forest, a multi-faceted project encompassing an exhibition, a program series and a publication at 18th Street Arts Center (Santa Monica, CA) and Mains d’Oeuvres (Saint Ouen, France), organized by artist Alexandra Grant, and in collaboration with Hélène Cixous and more than 400 participants.

You can purchase these wonderful works here — all for $250:

The Forêt Intérieure/Interior Forest project has closed at 18th Street Art Center and is on the move to Paris at Mains d’Oeuvres in Saint-Ouen, with public participation beginning on August 19 until September 12, opening on September 13, and the exhibition running from September 14 to October 27, 2013.

The Cixous reading group has a new website:

https://cixousreadinggroup.wordpress.com/

Our next book is Clarice Lispector’s The Passion According to G.H.  We will discuss the New Directions Edition translated by Idra Novey. There has been some confusion over which edition we’ll be using, so please join the conversation regardless of the version you have read.

We’ll meet from 4pm-6pm on Sunday, July 21.  (We’ll meet once a month for the rest of the summer).  For those who wish to stay, we’ll follow up the reading group with a screening of Peter Ibbetson starring one of Cixous’ favorite transferential objects: Gary Cooper.

Please R.S.V.P. to Robert Nashak rnashak@gmail.com for details about the meeting location.
